BEACON
January 1, 2021 — December 31, 2023 — Be a Competence Now — Beacons for Incidental Learning
Escola Artística e Profissional Árvore is part of the BEACON consortium, an Erasmus+ KA2 strategic partnership that develops digital and transversal skills to support vocational students’ transition to the labour market through incidental learning pathways mediated by beacons.

Escola Artística e Profissional Árvore is part of BEACON, an Erasmus+ KA2 strategic partnership that aims to develop skills that support vocational students’ transition to the labour market.
What are beacons? They are hardware devices equipped with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE): low-cost, low-power technology that can detect nearby devices at short range and send notifications to a tablet or smartphone.

BEACON aims to develop digital and transversal competences by engaging students in incidental learning pathways. When faced with a prepared fault or problem, students work collaboratively using beacons to find solutions — enabling sharing, discovery, interaction, editing of content, and learning beyond the classroom.
BEACON was coordinated by Liceul Teoretic de Informatică “Grigore Moisil” in Iași, Romania, running from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2023. Partners from Romania, Italy, Spain and Portugal included Ludor Engineering; Cisita Parma, ISISS Galilei Bocchialini and Food Farm 4.0; Fundación AITIIP and CPIFP Corona de Aragón; Newtie, CITEVE and EAPA — spanning food, information technology, mechanics, fashion and textiles.
